Milton and Reserve Plant Capabilities Our two plants located in Milton, Wisconsin and Reserve, Louisiana offer commercial scale custom and toll manufacturing of products requiring alkoxylation, hydrogenation, cyanoethylation and hydro finishing. These plants can conduct reactions at up to 350oF and pressures up to 600 psi. Stainless steel, glass and titanium reactors range from 500 gallons to 10,000 gallons in size. Air Products produces a wide range of alcohol alkoxylates, ether amines and ether amine derivatives including amphoterics, amine oxides, quats, alkoxylates and diamines. We maintain ISO 9001:2000 and RC 14001 certification at both our Milton Plant and Reserve Plant. Our commercial-scale process capabilities include the following batch manufacturing process unit operations:
Both plants have tank storage facilities and can meet your custom blending needs. Your products can be delivered in drums, totes, tank trucks or tank cars from both our plants. CAPABILITIES – MILTON PLANT
The Milton Plant operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Currently the Milton Plant produces amine, amine derivatives, diamines, ethoxylates, propoxylates, quaternaries, amphoterics and amine oxides. As mentioned above, the Milton Plant has both ISO 9001:2000 and RC 14001 certification. CAPABILITIES – RESERVE PLANT
LABORATORY CAPABILITIES Air Products highly skilled and experienced process chemists will work with you to optimize your process and prepare it for scale-up in our Milton and Reserve plants. To model production vessels in these plants, our Milton, Wisconsin process chemistry laboratory is equipped with:
Air Products analytical chemistry laboratory in Milton, Wisconsin, will work with you along with our plant and process chemists to establish the appropriate process monitoring capabilities and product quality control requirements for your process, process intermediates and final product. Our Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, applications laboratory can work with you to determine product performance capabilities in your desired applications using both industry standardized methodology and new tests developed with state of the art equipment such as our dynamic spinning drop tensiometer for interfacial and surface tension measurements and our instrument to measure contact angles of fluids on surfaces as a function of time to determine wetting characteristics. Tomah is all about going the extra distance to tailor processes to deliver products that meet your requirements in a timely and confidential manner.
